Helpling

Anti-Plastic Campaign

In order to differentiate Helpling from its competitors, Rohit created Helpling’s Anti-Plastic video campaign. Busy educated professionals that use services like Helpling’s consider spending a little extra if they perceive a brand to be more environmentally friendly. Thus, allowing Helpling to rise above a brewing price war as a premium offering.

The campaign involved Helpling staff switching from single-use plastic bottles & cups to refillable steel bottles. Helpling then shared the campaign through paid & organic media and shared the #RefillableBottleChallenge on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter, encouraging 3 other companies to also make the switch.

Beacon

Solar Hybrid Air Conditioner

Beacon launched a brand-new product in the UAE market and had just completed their first major local installation: 184 units at a local labor camp. We saw it as the perfect case to promote, since Dubai has over 6,000 labor camps. Showing the on-site assembly process in a video, conveys Beacon’s expertise in installing advanced equipment and boosts their credibility. It also familiarizes key decision makers like engineers with the product and finance managers with how much they could save with its implementation.

The video substitutes traditional voice-over narration for on-screen text, so people browsing social media with their audio muted can still understand the video’s message.

Principal Media

Based in Beverly Hills, Principal Media has produced and distributed top-level TV programming since 2005, offering a diverse library of HD, 3D and 4K programming.

As Manager of International Deliveries, Rohit was responsible for the delivery and quality control of digital video content to networks in the United States and all around the world. In 2016, shortly after Rohit joined the team, Principal Media went through a period of unprecedented growth with over 3 times the volume of media delivery orders. Additionally, an increasing number of deliveries required the more demanding 4K and IMAX standards.

This increased scale required a complete rethink the distribution workflow. As new suppliers, vendors & clients were on-boarded, Rohit built a new orders database that reduced information response times to stakeholders by almost 80% and reduced costly and time-consuming disputes by 75%.

A specifications handbook was also created to speed up supplier on-boarding - HERE

Video on YouTube

Rohit uploaded his first video to YouTube in 2011 and today has over 12,000 subscribers. Here are the stories behind his most successful videos since.

Asking Americans

2014 was Election Season in India and Narendra Modi had just been elected as prime minister. Meanwhile in Illinois, Rohit felt like he was missing out on the Election fever, so armed with a camera crew, he decided to step out onto the streets to see what the folks of Illinois thought about the Indian Election. That video was an instant success. As of Jan 2021 it has over 580,000 views.

The follow up video, Asking Americans about Priyanka Chopra, capitalized on the media buzz surrounding the American TV Show Quantico starring Priyanka Chopra, and has over 600,000 views.

Educational Content

Solving a problem that many people face is a key to success. The same is true on YouTube. Rohit’s YouTube channel features a lot of educational content from How to make a paper bag to learning the Phonetic (Radio) Alphabet. “Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta…”

His most successful educational video was born out of his own confusing experience being an Indian living in the United States. Indian news sources report numbers using lakhs and crores, while their US counterparts use millions and billions. Thus, the video “How to convert Lakhs & Crores to Millions & Billions” was born! To encourage interaction in the comments, the video is framed as a question, “Should India switch to be more aligned with the rest of the world?”

The whole video is Motion graphics based, created in Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro. The video has over 450,000 views as of Jan 2021.

Video Editor Reel

Watch Rohit’s Editor reel which contains some of his best Video Editing and Motion Graphics work

The editor works with the raw footage: selecting shots and combining them into sequences to create a finished motion picture. Visual Effects (VFX) are the processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shot.

If you ever hear "Fix it in Post" on a film set, Rohit's the man for the job!
