What does it mean to host Rohit?
Rohit will visit your restaurant and shoot footage of your restaurant’s exterior and interior ambience. He will film your dishes & beverages including starters, mains, desserts and any other signature dishes. He will also taste them and capture footage of that as well. Instagram Stories can be shared at the time of the visit or closer to the reel release. Once the visit is complete, he will share a script for a voiceover reel which will include visual references for what shots will accompany the spoken words. After one round of consolidated feedback on the script, the reel will be edited and a draft shared for one round of feedback. Once the reel is approved it will be posted on the Rohit.Explores Instagram and YouTube channel. The link to the reel will be shared in The Explorers Community on WhatsApp.
What We Need From You?
Dishes to Showcase: Which dishes would you like to highlight? One version of each dish should be provided complimentary for the video shoot. If you don’t have specific dishes that you want featured in the menu, we will select 5-7 dishes that we think will appeal to our audience and those must be on-the-house i.e. complementary.
Preferred Date & Time: This can be discussed with Rohit, to ensure it happens at an off-peak period so the shooting doesn’t disrupt customers and vice versa. Depending on the overall scope, a shoot can last between 90-120 minutes.
Food Preparation: If the food / beverage preparation and plating process is visually appealing, appropriate arrangements with the kitchen and chefs should be done for the filming of it.
Other Things to Know
Vegetarian Focus
Content features only vegetarian and vegetarian + egg dishes, even if your restaurant serves non-veg.
Up to 6–7 signature dishes can be prominently mentioned. This is mainly to ensure the final reel remains short and engaging. More dishes can be shown visually if needed.
One complimentary plate of each featured dish must be provided for filming and tasting.
Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages may be shown
Dishes cooked with alcohol (e.g., tiramisu, risotto) are acceptable.
Restaurants may prepare a mocktail for Rohit to sip on camera.
Paid Collaborations Only
We do not engage in barter collabs.
An advance payment is required to block a specific shoot date at your restaurant.
Our rates vary month to month as our community and following grow. They also vary based on scope. Please check for the latest rates.
Food Wastage
Most of the time the shoot will be carried out by only Rohit. In rare cases he might be joined by 1 or 2 other guests.
Given the number of dishes that we want to showcase in a single video, there is a large likelihood of food not being completed.
This left-over food should be packed for later consumption instead of being wasted.
Transparency
All collaborations are disclosed as Paid Partnerships per government guidelines.
No “organic-looking” undisclosed posts.
Promotion
We can tag your brand in Stories and Reels.
Collaboration requests can be initiated from our end.
No boosting from our account - our growth is 100% organic and we want to keep it that way. Once you pay Instagram, organic reach gets throttled.
Content Integrity
Rankings in Pizza Wars, Burger Wars, the Dosa Leaderboard, Hype vs. Reality etc., are editorial and honest.
Paid collaborations do not guarantee top placement.
“Rohit Explores the New” and “Rohit Explores What’s Cooking” are the most flexible formats for brands that don’t want to be compared.
